  <title>Firmar o cifrar correos</title>

<p>Después de que haya <link xref="mail-encryption-s-mime-manage">añadido su certificado</link>, puede firmar o cifrar un correo pulsando <guiseq><gui>Opciones</gui><gui>Firma S/MIME</gui></guiseq> o <gui>Cifrado S/MIME</gui> en el menú del editor de mensajes o pulsando en el botón correspondiente de la barra de herramientas.</p>
<note style="tip"><p>La línea del Asunto del mensaje no se cifrará y no se debería usar para contener información sensible.</p></note>

<p>Para enviar cada mensaje cifrado o firmado:</p>

<item><p>Seleccione <guiseq><gui>Editar</gui><gui>Preferencias</gui><gui>Cuentas de correo</gui></guiseq>.</p></item>
<item><p>Seleccione la cuenta en la que cifrar mensajes.</p></item>
<item><p>Pulse <gui style="button">Editar</gui>.</p></item>
<item><p>Pulse en la pestaña <gui>Seguridad</gui>.</p></item>
<item><p>En la sección <gui>MIME seguro (S/MIME)</gui> pulse <gui style="button">Seleccionar</gui> junto a <gui>Certificado de firma</gui> y especifique la ruta a su certificado de firma o pulse <gui style="button">Seleccionar</gui> junto a <gui>Certificado de cifrado</gui> y especifique la ruta a su certificado de cifrado.</p></item>
<item><p>Seleccione las opciones apropiadas.</p></item>
<item><p>Pulse <gui style="button">Aceptar</gui>.</p></item>
